Sectra plans ECR introductions, enters Greek market

Swedish PACS and digital mammography vendor Sectra will showcase a range of new technologies at the European Congress of Radiology (ECR) in Vienna.

Sectra's PACS offering now includes its RapidConnect technology, which allows radiologists to work from anywhere that offers reasonable Internet access, according to the Linköping-based vendor. It also allows users to share images and information between multiple locations, Sectra said.

The company has also incorporated an add-on to its RIS that's designed to provide efficient scheduling and documentation of complex procedures within subspecialties such as nuclear medicine, medical physics, and cardiology, Sectra said.

Sectra will also be showing an integrated package for mammography screening, including Sectra Screening RIS, Sectra MDM, and Sectra Breast Imaging PACS.

In other Sectra news, the company has inked a distribution agreement with Greek medical imaging and security systems provider Proton of Athens. Proton will distribute all of Sectra's medical system products in Greece and Cyprus.
