GE HealthCare has collaborated with University Hospital Essen on the opening of a new nuclear medicine center in Essen, Germany, focused on theranostics and personalized cancer care.
The center features the first installation of GE HealthCare's StarGuide GX SPECT/CT, along with one of the first Omni 128-cm PET/CT systems, according to the company. It also incorporates MIM software for AI-enabled image analysis and post-processing, connecting radiopharmaceutical production, imaging, and analysis within a single site, GE HealthCare said. Both systems are CE marked, the company noted.
