Esaote adds to Virtual Navigator at ECR

Ultrasound vendor Esaote will demonstrate two new features on its Virtual Navigator fusion imaging system at this week's European Congress of Radiology (ECR) in Vienna.

IP (Intelligent Positioning) adds the possibility of defining a target within the anatomical area under investigation, according to Esaote. Using an electromagnetic system, IP tracks the positions of both the probe and target, and provides 3D visualization.

Esaote's Radar View feature allows visualization of the region of interest and the needle's tip position in a similar fashion to a radar system, according to the company.
