Curagita, Mint Medical build German lung cancer screening network

Curagita and Mint Medical have established a network architecture to support Germany's new lung cancer screening program, initially comprising 25 outpatient radiology screening sites and two second-reader centers in Heidelberg.

Curagita serves as network and project manager, using its CuraHub on-premises AI platform to provide structured reporting and data management, while Mint Medical's mint Lesion software serves as the data backbone, according to the companies. The network also integrates the Advance Chest CT AI tool from contextflow, a 4DMedical company, to support detection and measurement of round lesions, emphysema quantification, and coronary artery calcification identification.

The model developed in Heidelberg is intended to serve as a template for establishing additional regional screening networks across Germany, with the goal of increasing participation rates and standardizing processes across participating radiology facilities.
