United Imaging has received CE Mark certification for its uCT SiriuX and uCT SiriuX Ultrix CT scanners, clearing the systems for commercial availability across Europe.
The scanners are built on a twin-ring gantry architecture with dual 16-cm wide coverage Ultrix detectors and two liquid-metal-bearing x-ray tubes, according to the company. The systems support three imaging capabilities, United Imaging said: Synchronized whole-organ dynamic imaging, ultra-high-resolution imaging with 16-cm wide-area coverage, and ultra-high-resolution whole-body spectral imaging.
Stefan Ulzheimer, general manager of CT, United Imaging Healthcare Europe, said the scanners represent a fundamentally new approach to high temporal and spatial resolution. The uCT SirluX was first unveiled at RSNA 2025.
