Precision IO Group will unveil two new capabilities for its Epione robotic ablation platform at the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe (CIRSE) annual congress next week in Copenhagen.
The updates include Smart Seg AI, a deep-learning tool trained on CT scan images to optimize liver tumor segmentation, and compatibility with GE HealthCare's Allia Moveo Interact Touch panel, combining 3D imaging, treatment planning, and robotic needle guidance in a single workflow, according to the company. Epione is used to treat abdominal, chest, and musculoskeletal tumors and lesions, and is also available for bone consolidation procedures.
Precision IO will host hands-on sessions at the GE HealthCare booth on 6 and 7 September, and Yann Le Meur, PhD, director of innovation and technology at Quantum Surgical, will present on robotics in interventional oncology during the Sphaire lecture series on 8 September.
