The 52nd National Congress of the Italian Society of Medical and Interventional Radiology (SIRM) opens on 5 November, in Milan, with digital transformation and technological advances among the central themes of this year's meeting.
Held under the theme "Not Just Diagnostics: Exploring the Digital Universe," the biennial congress runs until 8 November at the Allianz MiCo convention center.
For the first time, SIRM is holding its national congress jointly with the Italian Association of Neuroradiology (AINR), bringing the two societies together for a shared scientific program.
Focus on early-career radiologists
The program covers a broad range of specialties, including neuroradiology, breast imaging, pediatric radiology, oncology, emergency imaging, musculoskeletal radiology, gastrointestinal and respiratory imaging, and vascular and nonvascular interventional radiology.
Particular attention is being given to early-career radiologists, with more than 1,000 oral scientific presentations and 250 clinical case presentations scheduled. Educational courses, roundtable discussions, and case-based sessions are also part of the program.
The congress is organized by SIRM, with this year's edition coordinated by its Campania regional group. Further information and the scientific program are available on the official SIRM 2026 website.
