Philips is rolling out UniGuide 3D Live Guidance, software that brings preprocedural CT planning information into live interventional workflows on its Azurion image-guided therapy platform, in Europe and other CE-marked markets.
The initial release supports percutaneous coronary intervention, structural heart, and complex vascular procedures, Philips said. For coronary interventions, data from a preprocedural coronary CT angiography scan, including vessel and plaque characteristics, can be combined with live image guidance through a 3D overlay or synchronized side-by-side display. Physicians can view the information on the Azurion FlexVision display and interact with the 3D rendering through a tableside touchscreen, according to the company.
UniGuide also accepts planning data from Philips Advanced Visualization Workspace and compatible third-party software. The product has been available in CE-marked markets since October 23 but is not available for sale in the U.S., Philips said.
