Growth in its mammography product division powered Swedish PACS and digital mammography vendor Sectra to greater sales and profit in the third fiscal quarter (end-January 31).
In the third quarter, net sales for the Linköping-based company increased 20% to 226.1 million kronor ($22.6 million U.S.), compared with 189.3 million kronor ($18.9 million U.S.) in the previous year's third quarter. Quarterly profit increased 10% to 15.8 million kronor ($1.9 million U.S.), compared with $14.4 million kronor ($1.4 million U.S.) in the same quarter a year ago.
For the nine-month period, net sales advanced 16% to 599.5 million kronor ($59.9 million U.S.), compared with 518.4 million kronor ($51.8 million U.S.) in the same period of the previous fiscal year. Profit increased 71% to 64 million kronor ($6.4 million U.S.), compared with 37.4 million kronor ($3.7 million U.S.) in the year-ago period.
