Accuray has entered into agreements with Samsung NeuroLogica to pursue advanced volumetric CT imaging capabilities for the CyberKnife radiosurgery system. The announcement coincided with the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) annual meeting in Boston.
The collaboration is intended to combine Samsung NeuroLogica's mobile CT and volumetric imaging expertise with Accuray's precision treatment delivery, robotic radiosurgery, and motion management capabilities, the companies said. Clinicians at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust in the U.K. will be the first to participate in the collaboration.
No commercial product offering has been announced, and future developments remain subject to ongoing evaluation and applicable regulatory requirements.
