Radiology Partners has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Everlight Radiology, an international teleradiology provider serving hospitals and imaging centers across the U.K., Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa.
While the companies did not disclose financial terms, Financial Review reported that Radiology Partners will acquire Everlight for around $1 billion, citing anonymous sources.
The combination brings together Everlight's network of more than 800 radiologists working in over 40 countries, reporting more than 2.5 million exams annually for more than 340 client organizations, with Radiology Partners' vRad teleradiology unit. Each organization will continue to serve its existing markets, with radiologists reading where they are licensed and credentialed, the firms said.
Radiology Partners said it intends to make its Mosaic Drafting AI tool, which applies AI models to interpret imaging exams and create draft reports for radiologist review, available to Everlight radiologists subject to required regulatory clearances in each market. Radiology Partners' technology division, Mosaic Clinical Technologies, also operates MosaicOS, a platform integrating vision language AI models and workflow tools, and has developed more than 25 clinical AI models through its vRad platform since 2001.
Everlight's current management team will continue to lead the business following closing, and day-to-day client relationships and workflows will remain unchanged, according to the announcement. The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals.
