French radiology AI company Raidium has appointed Ludovic d'Apréa, a former imaging informatics executive at GE HealthCare, Carestream Health, and Philips, as strategic advisor to its board.
D'Apréa will advise the company on strategy, clinical adoption, and scaling, according to Raidium. He previously led GE HealthCare's Enterprise Imaging Solutions business. The company said that he was also president of Healthcare Information Solutions at Carestream Health, where he helped develop the company's PACS business. That PACS business was later sold to Philips and d'Apréa went on to hold the same role at Philips. He is currently president and CEO of Ascentry, which makes laboratory data management software.
Raidium is developing an AI-native PACS viewer built on its 3D foundation model for radiology. Its first application, Raidium Read (R.Read), starts with oncology imaging and brings detection, segmentation, measurement, longitudinal follow-up, and structured reporting into a single environment, the firm said.
