Enterprise imaging and pathology vendor Sectra has launched a new generation of its Education Portal cloud-based teaching platform.
The portal, which is a subscription-based software-as-a-service platform, enables interactive medical instruction with real-life clinical cases and can be accessed by thousands of students and teachers from any location, according to the vendor. With the new version, students can browse and explore from their own devices, as well as help teachers prepare lessons, Sectra said.
Also, the portal contains many anonymized medical cases and images that have been collected in collaboration with Sectra's customers. It encompasses anatomy, histopathology, radiology, trauma, orthopedics, oncology, surgery, and other specialties, the firm said.
The next-generation portal will be available in the fall of 2022.
