Week in Review: Agentic AI | Decoding radiotherapy response with AI | Imaging Saves Lives

Dear AuntMinnieEurope member,

Agentic AI continues to progress in radiology. In a recent session at the 2nd Annual Global AI Conference from the U.K. Royal College of Radiologists (RCR), presenters shared an overview of how the technology is currently being utilized, as well as the challenges radiology practices need to be aware of. Click here for our report.

Another session at the RCR meeting discussed the promise of AI for enabling more personalized treatment, from targeted radionuclide therapy dosing to drug discovery. You can access our coverage here

Meanwhile, clinical persistence and the willingness to question normal results can sometimes be more important than the imaging technology itself for preventing missed diagnoses, according to presentations at the "Imaging Saves Lives" event, hosted earlier this month by the European Society of Radiology (ESR) and the European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM) at the European Parliament in Brussels. Meanwhile, a joint ESR/EANM event at the European Parliament also emphasized the pivotal role medical imaging will play in implementing the European Commission’s Safe Hearts Plan.
