What can cause chromosome damage from PET/CT scans? A new study suggests that it’s the CT dose, not the FDG radiotracer, that’s the main driver of chromosomal aberrations.

Another highly viewed article this week reported on the common injuries caused by pager blasts in Lebanon in 2024. And radiologists in a recent study found it difficult to distinguish between real and AI-generated CT and MR images.

Should chest radiographs be routinely used in children with recurrent wheezing? Although nearly 3 out of 4 chest x-rays show abnormalities in these cases, they rarely lead to changes in diagnosis and treatment. The research supports selective use.
