Varian, a division of Siemens Healthineers, has received the CE mark for its AI contouring capability in the Eclipse treatment planning system.
The integrated software contours more than 200 predefined structures based on CT and MR images, including organs of interest, lymph nodes, and known brain metastases, according to the Siemens. It also provides a standardized starting point for clinician review and refinement, with the aim of improving contour consistency and reducing manual effort in radiation therapy planning workflows, the company said.
Varian will showcase its AI contouring capabilities at the annual congress of the European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO 2026) 15 to 19 May in Stockholm.
