Blue Earth Therapeutics and University College London (UCL) have initiated a Phase 1 clinical trial evaluating Actinium-225 (Ac-225) rhPSMA-10.1 Injection, an investigational alpha-emitting PSMA-targeted radiopharmaceutical, in patients with PSMA-positive metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC).
The study, sponsored by UCL and conducted at UCL Hospital in London, is designed to evaluate the safety and anti-tumor activity of the agent in patients whose disease has progressed following prior therapy. Results are expected to characterize side effects and inform dose selection for subsequent research, Blue Earth said.
Ac-225 rhPSMA-10.1 is the second clinical candidate in Blue Earth Therapeutics' oncology pipeline, alongside its Lutetium-177 (Lu-177) rhPSMA-10.1 program, which is currently in a Phase 2 clinical trial. Blue Earth Therapeutics is providing funding and drug supply for the study.
