Mevion Medical Systems has received the European CE Mark for its Mevion S250-FIT proton therapy system.
The S250-FIT is designed to fit into a standard radiation therapy vault, eliminating the need for purpose-built bunker construction, the company said. The system features Mevion's Hyperscan pencil beam scanning platform for intensity modulated proton therapy and a large-bore diagnostic CT aligned to the isocenter, which enables advanced image-guided radiation therapy and adaptive treatment workflows, Mevion said.
The CE marking follows the system's U.S. clearance in September 2025. The company noted that to date, it has signed contracts with nine institutions globally.
