Siemens Healthineers has installed medical imaging technology throughout the newly opened University Heart and Vascular Center at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE) in Germany.
The installation includes 13 angiography systems, a photon-counting CT scanner, a 3-tesla MRI system, and an x-ray imaging station across the center's intervention suites, hybrid operating rooms, and Cardiovascular Imaging Center, according to the company.
The companies also plan to establish a long-term strategic research partnership covering cardiology, radiology, and data-driven medicine, Siemens Healthineers said.
