The conference sector in Vienna has taken a severe hit during the pandemic, but Austria Center Vienna (ACV) -- home of the ECR -- finally has scheduled congresses for 2021 and beyond.
The European Forum for Industrial Biotechnology & the Bioeconomy (EFIB) is scheduled to be held as a hybrid event at the ACV in October 2021, according to a report posted by the news website wien.orf.at.
This is just the beginning, tourism chiefs stated. More than 110 applications for national and international congresses and corporate events with up to 20,000 visitors are now in progress. Some are scheduled to occur in the second half of 2021, and others are planned through 2030.
No mention of ECR was made in the report, however.
