Armenian investigation finds aging x-ray installed base

An investigation by Armenian news website Hetq Online found that about 80% of the x-ray systems used in Yerevan are 30 to 40 years old, presenting safety risks to both patients and staff.

The machines that are being utilized in the Armenia capital's polyclinics are Soviet-era x-ray units that were manufactured in the 1970s or 1980s, but were only meant to be used for 10 years, according to the article.
