The ESR and European Association of Urology (EAU) have entered into a strategic partnership focused on educational, scientific, and health policy initiatives.
Marked by a three-year memorandum of understanding, the deal recognizes that radiologists and urologists work in close clinical alignment, the ESR said on 11 July. The two societies have joined forces to strengthen mutual understanding, promote shared expertise, and contribute jointly to health policy shaping in Europe.
"By working with the EAU, we strengthen the clinical bridge between imaging and urological care, helping to ensure that patients receive the most informed and effective treatment possible," stated ESR Board Chair Prof. Andrea Rockall in the announcement.
Under the agreement, ESR and EAU will collaborate toward joint sessions at both societies' annual meetings, joint courses, and webinars, as well as coordinate for European health policy initiatives, advocacy, and support for EU-level grant opportunities, according to the ESR.
