RöKo 2026 in Leipzig starts to gather pace

Time is running out to submit abstracts for the 107th German Congress of Radiology, RöKo 2026, according to the organizers.

Themed “radiologie grenzenlos" -- radiology without borders -- the congress represents one of the largest gatherings in Europe for radiologists, medical imaging professionals, and industry experts. Radiology without borders means sharing technology and knowledge across countries to improve patient care worldwide, noted members of the organizing committee, Dr. Saif Afat, Prof. Dr. Bettina Baeßler, and Dr. Daniel Pinto dos Santos.

"Radiology knows no boundaries -- neither in terms of expertise nor space, neither in thought nor action," they explained. "Our goal is to make radiology visible in all its facets."

Plans are in place for interaction with general practitioners, clinical partners, patients, and other healthcare stakeholders, they continued. In addition, the event will feature "lively knowledge transfer," including Science Slams, Oxford Debates, and “Rockstars of Radiology” sessions that combine science with culture and discourse with experience.

Promising a thought-provoking mix of scientific talks and case reports, hands-on workshops, and networking, RöKo 2026 will take place in Leipzig from 13 to 15 May, with a digital program running from 13 to 30 May.
