Radiation oncology firm Elekta and Australian radiotherapy provider GenesisCare have formed a partnership valued at more than 88 million euros.
The deal will span eight years. GenesisCare treatment centers in Australia and the U.K. will install Elekta's Leksell Gamma Knife Icon radiosurgery systems, its Versa HD linear accelerators, as well as the company's brachytherapy systems, its Mosaiq software package, and its Metriq cancer registry.
GenesisCare is also expected to order Elekta's high-field 1.5-tesla MR-guided linear accelerator when it becomes available in 2017, the company said.
