GE Healthcare has appointed John Flannery as its new president and CEO, effective immediately.
Flannery most recently was senior vice president of business development for GE, with 27 years of experience across the company. He led business development activity related to GE's purchase of Alstom's energy and transmission businesses, the spin-off of its Retail Finance division, and the sale of GE Appliances, GE said. Flannery has also been the president and CEO of GE India and a senior leader at GE Capital.
Flannery succeeds John Dineen, who is leaving GE to pursue "new leadership opportunities" outside the company.
