Clarius expands handheld ultrasound app to 30 AI models

Clarius Mobile Health is releasing version 13.1 of its Clarius App, which includes 30 integrated AI models for its wireless handheld ultrasound scanners, up from 16 in December 2025.

The models fall into three categories:

  • Clinical measurements (12 models): Automates measurement steps in cardiac, obstetric, urologic, and musculoskeletal imaging, including ejection fraction assessment and prostate and bladder volume measurements
  • Anatomy (14 models): Clarius T-Mode overlays anatomical illustrations and labels onto live ultrasound images
  • Workflow (four models): Includes intelligent preset selection, voice commands, and speech-to-text

The models run directly on compatible smartphones and tablets without an internet connection during scanning, and they are delivered to existing compatible scanners through software updates.

Some of the models are cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or carry the CE Mark, but feature availability varies by scanner, market, and regulatory authorization, the company said.
