GE HealthCare has added Logiq Focus to its Logiq line of general imaging ultrasound systems. The new system brings AI-enabled automation and productivity tools to routine and more complex full-body exams, the company said.

The new system is built on the company’s cSound Architecture with speckle reduction imaging. It also has a high-definition ultrasound (HDU) display, flow visualization tools, and a range of multipurpose and specialty probes, and it works with the wireless Vscan Air CL probe, according to the vendor. Other features include the following:

  • Auto Preset Assistant, which detects the anatomy being scanned and activates the matching preset. It can save up to five clicks per exam, the firm said.

  • AutoEF for automated ejection fraction measurement, and Scan Assistant for guidance through exam protocols.

  • Verisound Collab for virtual collaboration.

  • Liver assessment tools, including ultrasound-guided fat fraction and 2D shear-wave elastography.

  • SonoDefense multilayer cybersecurity.

Logiq Focus recently received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 510(k) clearance and is CE marked.
