U.K. and Australia-based radiology information system (RIS) provider Soliton IT has completed implementation of its Radiology+ RIS for Peninsula Ultrasound across its 25 sites.
The project included integration of the Radiology+ RIS with a PACS from Insignia Medical Systems.
Peninsula Ultrasound specializes in general ultrasound, gynecology, neurology, musculoskeletal, and vascular scans. The staff includes 12 reporting radiographers who provide reading for Royal Cornwall Hospital, with acute support from Royal Cornwall National Health Service (NHS) Trust.
By combining imaging equipment and IT systems, Peninsula Ultrasound integrates patients' clinical images and records across the NHS network, which allows access for NHS secondary care clinicians and central storage within the NHS framework.
Soliton IT's Radiology+ application incorporates the management of clinical images, patient planning, resource management, results distribution, and statistical analysis into one interface.
