When U.K. radiologist Dr. Naveen Sharma started an Instagram (IG) medical education account called @theradiologistpage, he thought it might attract a few hundred followers. He now has more than a million followers on IG, in addition to a loyal following on YouTube, X, and TikTok.
In this video interview, Sharma, who is a consultant radiologist at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells National Health Service (NHS) Trust in the U.K., explains how he built up such a such a substantial presence on social media. He also speaks about his passion for innovative techniques in medical education, gives advice to other social media users, and touches on his hope to monetize the account in the future.
