Toshiba adds AIDR 3D to CT scanners

Toshiba Medical Systems Europe is kicking off the addition of its adaptive iterative dose reduction (AIDR) 3D software to its CT scanners at the annual European Congress of Radiology (ECR) in Vienna.

Toshiba has begun an upgrade with AIDR 3D for its European installed base of Aquilion One, Premium, and Prime CT systems.

According to the company, AIDR 3D enhances spatial resolution and reduces dose up to 75% in routine clinical settings. AIDR 3D also has a minimal effect on reconstruction times and can be implemented into routine clinical practice without interrupting workflow.
