The German Röntgen Society (DRG) has changed its annual congress into a long-term, advanced digital course.

The 101st German Röntgen Congress, initially planned for 20-23 May in Leipzig, will now become "101 RöKo Digital," an advanced training program that begins on 20 May and continues through 6 November, concluding in a face-to-face event in Remscheid-Lennep, the birthplace of Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen, according to the society.

In a statement, the DRG said it made the decision in light of its "ethical and moral responsibility" toward congress participants, as well as the need for medical staff to be available for patients.
