BMC releases new publication on AI and health data

The German Association for Managed Care (BMC) has released a new publication on AI and health data.

The publication, "Unlocking the Potential of Health Data with AI," is a project of BMC’s Future Technology Working Group.

It includes a chapter from Dr. Jonathan Nadjiri, board member of the German Interventional Radiological Society and Minimally Invasive Therapy (DeGIR), and head of the DeGIR steering committee. In this chapter, entitled "Data-Based Quality Assurance and Healthcare Research in Interventional Radiology,” Nadjiri contended that the DeGIR registry represents a bottom-up principle of data sovereignty for physicians.

The DeGIR registry aims to “increase transparency and quality in interventional radiology through comprehensive, structured data collection on indications, techniques, complications, and outcomes,” according to the BMC.
