Israeli artificial intelligence (AI) medical imaging start-up Aidoc has received the CE Mark for its deep learning based software for head and neck imaging.
The application is designed to augment radiologists' workflow by detecting a vast array of medical findings on imaging of the head and neck, saving time and helping radiologists to prioritize their readings, according to the vendor. Aidoc said radiologists could now choose to optimize their worklists by prioritizing cases based on the AI image analysis and other clinically available data.
The system can also be integrated directly into the software radiologists are currently using, according to the firm. The CE Marking was based on data collected in clinical trials, which compared the software with findings by unassisted radiologists, Aidoc added.
