
La tomodensitométrie à comptage photonique suscite un enthousiasme bien mérité et cette technologie aura des répercussions cliniques importantes, a déclaré la professeure Martine Rémy-Jardin dans une interview exclusive accordée à AuntMinnieEurope.com lors des Journées Francophones de Radiologie (JFR 2022), la réunion annuelle de la Société française de radiologie (SFR).
"Ça va changer beaucoup de choses," a déclaré Rémy-Jardin dans une interview avec notre correspondante Mélisande Rouger. Cette nouvelle technologie "ouvre la possibilité d'avoir de nouveaux axes de développement. Nous en sommes à notre première appréciation de ce qui peut être fait. Nous sommes très enthousiastes."
De nombreux patients thoraciques sont susceptibles de bénéficier de la tomographie à comptage photonique, selon Rémy-Jardin, qui utilise cette technique dans son établissement de Lille depuis un peu plus d'un an. "Nous savons qu'à partir de l'analyse visuelle des images, il y a actuellement une limite dans la représentation des résultats, et avec cette technique, nous améliorons nos connaissances dans différents organes. Elle va changer considérablement la façon dont nous allons aborder ces troubles," a-t-elle déclaré.
En ce qui concerne l'imagerie de l'embolie pulmonaire, l'un de ses principaux domaines de spécialisation, il reste encore beaucoup de gens à convaincre de la valeur clinique de la perfusion pulmonaire par tomodensitométrie. "Elle est disponible mais probablement sous-utilisée à l'heure actuelle, car elle représente un complément très important à la morphologie. Cette analyse de la microcirculation pulmonaire est un grand domaine pour aujourd'hui," a-t-elle déclaré.
Rémy-Jardin a également souligné l'importance de la perfusion pulmonaire pour évaluer les effets à long terme du COVID-19, un sujet qu'elle a abordé lors d'une session des JFR le vendredi 7 octobre en fin d'après-midi.
