TUCSON, AZ (PRWEB) -- Radiology portal AuntMinnie.com today announced plans to launch a new website dedicated to providing news and information about European radiology. Editorial content will be directed by award-winning medical journalist Philip Ward, who has been named editor in chief of the new site.
Called AuntMinnieEurope.com, the portal is scheduled to launch in March 2011 and will provide localized, English-language content developed and written by Ward and a staff of journalists based in Europe. The site will feature late-breaking stories on clinical, business, and socioeconomic aspects of European radiology, as well as educational content such as a weekly challenge case.
The launch of AuntMinnieEurope.com is a sign of the growing importance of international markets in the radiology industry, according to AuntMinnie.com General Manager Ashok Shah.
"AuntMinnie.com has been extremely successful in becoming the premier global online radiology portal, but the addition of a European editorial office and Web presence will enable us to better serve our European readers," Shah said. Ward comes to AuntMinnieEurope.com after more than 16 years at the helm of one of radiology's leading pan-European print publications.
