The U.K. Society of Radiographers (SoR) announced that Jonathan McNulty, PhD, has been appointed as editor-in-chief of its peer-reviewed journal Radiography for a second five-year term running from January 2027 through 2032.

McNulty, a professor and vice principal for Teaching and Learning of the College of Health and Agricultural Sciences at University College Dublin, has been associated with the journal since 2016, first as an associate editor and then as editor-in-chief from January 2022, the society said.

During his tenure, full-text downloads of the journal grew from just over 600,000 in 2022 to nearly 1.5 million in 2025. The journal also received its first impact factor in 2022 and is now ranked in Quartile 2 of the Radiology, Nuclear Medicine & Medical Imaging category, according to the announcement.

Radiography is the official peer-reviewed journal of the Society and College of Radiographers and the European Federation of Radiographer Societies.
