Hitachi Aloka introduces new system at EUROSON

Hitachi Aloka Medical Systems Europe has unveiled its latest color ultrasound scanner, F31, at a European congress.

F31 was showcased at the European Congress of Ultrasound (EUROSON) of the European Federation of Societies for Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology (EFSUMB) held 9 to 12 October.

The product is a compact, entry-level color ultrasound system, with features including broadband harmonics (BbH), adaptive image processing (AIP), and spatial compound imaging (SCI), which offer high-sensitivity and low-noise anatomic images. Blood-flow mapping with eFLOW allows demonstration of microvasculature.

Another tool, free angular M-mode (FAM), can also be used in real-time or reconstructed from the cine memory. Orientation at arbitrary angles allows for variations in heart orientation. Detailed observation of heart valve motion is possible with the scanner's dynamic slow-motion display (DSD).

F31 also has free positioning of the user interface and the monitor; the monitor is rotatable by 330° in the horizontal direction. The operating console can be turned by 90° to the left or right and height-adjusted.
