Mevion reports treatment milestone at Maastro Clinic

Proton therapy developer Mevion Medical Systems said that the Maastro Clinic in Maastricht, the Netherlands, has become the first center in Europe to begin treating patients using the firm's S250i proton therapy system with Hyperscan pencil-beam scanning technology.

The single-room system also features an ImagingRing integrated in-room cone-beam CT system from MedPhoton, according to Mevion.
