January 29, 2021 -- Siemens Healthineers has signed a 15-year, 125 million-pound (141.3 million-euro) technology partnership with Manchester University National Health Service (NHS) Foundation Trust in the U.K.

Under the terms of the deal, Siemens will install more than 350 new pieces of radiology equipment across the trust's hospital network, which serves 2.8 million people. The new installations will support the trust's efforts to battle COVID-19, the company said.

Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is the largest NHS trust in the U.K., with 2,200 beds, 22,000 staff members, and yearly revenues of more than 1.8 billion pounds (2 billion euros), according to Siemens.
