Ultrasound technology developer SuperSonic Imagine is rolling out a new version of its Aixplorer Mach 30 ultrasound platform at France's national radiology congress (JFR), which begins on 11 October in Paris.

The latest version includes three new ultrasound markers. The Att Plus and SSp Plus are designed to simultaneously quantify ultrasound attenuation in the liver and intrahepatic speed of sound to reflect fat content for detecting and diagnosing hepatic steatosis. The Vi Plus Vi visualizes and quantifies tissue viscosity. Coupled with real-time elasticity imaging, viscosity assessments provide clinicians with information for tissue characterization, according to the vendor.
