U.K. issues guidance on radiotherapy treatment for vulval cancer

The U.K. Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) has released updated recommendations for radiotherapy treatment of vulval cancer.

The best practice guidance was produced by a panel of experts convened by RCR. The college's audit on vulva radiotherapy in 2020 showed there were a variety of practices for vulval cancer radiotherapy and people are often confused by target, margins, and dose, the RCR stated in its news release. The recommendations aim to standardize national treatment in vulva contouring across the U.K.
