
Imaging software developer Median Technologies has revealed that its revenue rise continued in the first half of 2020.
Revenue increased about 48% to 5.9 million euros, compared with 4 million euros in the first half of 2020 (end-30 June). Median's imaging contract research organization business unit, which provides imaging products and services for clinical trials in oncology, accounted for the company's revenues. The vendor has experienced seven consecutive quarters of revenue growth.
Median also reported a backlog of orders of 53.6 million euros as of 30 June, which is a 40% increase in backlog orders compared with the end of the 2019 calendar year. Order backlogs are up about 75% compared with those as of 30 June 2019.

(A) The fully automated deep learning framework was developed to estimate body composition (BC) (defined as subcutaneous adipose tissue [SAT] in liters; visceral adipose tissue [VAT] in liters; skeletal muscle [SM] in liters; SM fat fraction [SMFF] as a percentage; and intramuscular adipose tissue [IMAT] in deciliters) from MRI. The fully automated framework comprised one model (model 1) to quantify different BC measures (SAT, VAT, SM, SMFF, and IMAT) as three-dimensional (3D) measures from whole-body MRI scans. (B) BC was quantified from whole-body MRI in over 66,000 individuals from two large population-based cohort studies, the UK Biobank (UKB) (36,317 individuals) and the German National Cohort (NAKO) (30,291 individuals).
