Belgian software developer Osimis has raised 2.3 million euros in a financing round designed to help the company advance its development of the Lify image exchange software.
Lify is a proprietary platform developed by Osimis for medical image exchange that is based on Orthanc, a free and open-source server for medical imaging that is compatible with web technologies. Orthanc has been downloaded 230,000 times, according to Osimis.
The company plans to strengthen its presence in Europe, North America, and Asia, and it will use the funds to accelerate the development and international expansion of Lify.
