CLS begins evaluation of new thermal therapy system

October 27, 2021 -- Image-guided focal laser ablation technology developer Clinical Laserthermia Systems (CLS) said that its new Transberg thermal therapy system is now being evaluated for use in MRI/ultrasound fusion-guided focal laser ablation of prostate tumors.

In a 10-patient clinical trial, researchers at Germany's Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg are assessing Transberg's performance in providing fusion-guided focal laser ablation therapy for early-stage prostate cancer, according to the vendor.
