Controversy breaks out over new U.K. standards for chest x-rays
The launch of a U.K. document about standards for reporting practitioners in adult chest x-rays has ignited a fierce debate about differences in the requirements for radiographers and trainee radiologists. It is "an unholy mess" and is purely about training standards for nonradiologists, one expert said.

Brain hemorrhage in COVID-19 patients receiving extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) therapy occurs in around one in four cases, a large multicenter German study has found. The first 48 hours of ECMO therapy is a critical factor when it comes to intracranial hemorrhage, researchers noted.
