GE HealthCare (GEHC) has unveiled an adaptive cardiovascular ultrasound system at the 2025 European Society of Cardiology (ESC) Congress in Madrid.
Called Vivid Pioneer, the system has been redesigned for 2D, 4D, and color flow imaging with AI-powered automation and measurement, according to GEHC. It aims to reduce interoperator variability and accelerate workflows, supporting clinicians at every experience level, GEHC added.
Vivid Pioneer features the cSound Pioneer imaging reconstruction algorithm, 4Vc-D and new 6Sc-D probes for visualizing fine anatomical structures and assessing cardiac function, AI Cardiac Auto Doppler for measurements, Easy AFI for strain results and ejection fraction analyses, and 4D Auto LHQ for left heart function assessment. The system is CE marked in Europe.
The system's compact form factor allows clinicians to navigate tight spaces such as echo labs, catheterization labs, and bedsides, the company noted.
At ESC 2025, GEHC also showcased other newly CE-marked AI-enhanced technologies, including:
- ViewPoint EchoPilot for automating echo measurements and reporting
- CardIQ Suite for postprocessing and cardiac image analysis that features an automated calcium scoring and heart fat volume visualization
- Revolution Vibe for coronary CT angiography (CCTA)
- ComboLab AltiX AI.i electrophysiology and hemodynamic recording system, developed in collaboration with Volta Medical and utilizing PruckaStream to share real-time data with its Volta AF-Xplorer decision support system
