AI aids diagnosis of heart failure on chest x-rays

Deep learning is useful for diagnosing heart failure on x-ray images, researchers reported at the recent European Society of Cardiology virtual congress. They used chest x-rays from a publicly available database to train an artificial intelligence (AI) algorithm that yielded 82% accuracy for detecting heart failure on a test dataset.
