Postmortem imaging can reveal hidden trauma missed in autopsy

CT angiography (CTA) and other methods can shed light on death investigations in ways that autopsy can't. CTA, for example, allows doctors to look for bleeding points, while dual-beam CT depicts soft-tissue differentiation and bruising, and the technique is useful to investigate postsurgical deaths and identify trauma areas.
