Sectra will provide its digital pathology software module to Swedish healthcare provider Region Halland, a longstanding customer of Sectra’s breast imaging and radiology workflow systems, the company said.
Signed in November 2025, the seven-year contract is valued at 37.5 million Swedish krona (approximately €34.1 million) with 23.9 million Swedish krona (approximately €21.75 million) guaranteed, according to Sectra.
By replacing microscopes with a digital workflow, Region Halland’s clinical staff will have instant remote access to images. The pathology module sorts images, provides use of built-in or integrated image analysis, and has a built-in reporting module. It enables a full case overview, including images from different scanners with different file formats, macro cameras, other image systems, and patient data from information systems in the same application.
