Artificial intelligence (AI) software developer Zebra Medical Vision has signed a partnership with PACS and teleradiology software developer Medsynaptic of India.
Medsynaptic will incorporate Zebra's AI1 algorithm into its software, which is used in the Apollo Hospitals network in India. Apollo provides healthcare for over 40 million people in the country.
In March, the government of India gave the green light to a new initiative by India-Israel Innovation Fund (I 4 F) to boost the use of AI in the country. The funds were granted to validate, codevelop, and deploy AI for medical imaging applications across India and increase tuberculosis screening in rural areas.
